About Dr. Nathan Kelly (Osteopath)

Nathan is the director and principal osteopath at Universal Health & Performance. He is a fully qualified and registered osteopath with over a decade of clinical experience, having completed his five-year osteopathic training at Southern Cross University in 2013 (B.Clin.Sci, M.Ost.Med).

Nathan takes a unique approach to patient care, combining traditional osteopathic treatment and dry needling with modern strength and conditioning principles. This integrated approach allows him to provide comprehensive injury management, rehabilitation and performance support for patients of all activity levels.

Over the years Nathan has worked with a wide variety of patients, from everyday people dealing with pain and mobility issues to athletes across many sporting disciplines. His clinical experience includes treating surfers, strength athletes (including CrossFit, bodybuilding, strongman, powerlifting and Olympic lifting), runners and trail runners, athletes from various football codes, and competitors in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and other combat sports.

As a father of four active kids, Nathan also enjoys treating younger patients and helping children recover from sports injuries so they can continue doing what they love.

Nathan’s clinical approach is grounded in both experience and evidence-based practice. He continually integrates current research in physical therapy, rehabilitation and performance to ensure each patient receives an individualised treatment plan tailored to their needs and goals.

A self-described lifelong student, Nathan regularly seeks opportunities to learn from leaders in osteopathy, physical therapy and human performance to continue refining his approach to health and rehabilitation.

Outside the clinic, Nathan is an avid skateboarder, surfer, musician and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu enthusiast. When he’s not working with patients you’ll most likely find him in the surf, on the mats, or camping with his wife Tash and their four kids — Taki, Sana, Odi and Mimi.
